Hedgehogs

Welcome to Hedgehogs Class webpage!

December 2018

We learnt all about another Traditional Tale- The Three Billy Goats Gruff.

We investigated different materials and tried to make bridges that would be strong enough for the goats to walk over but also have room underneath for the troll.

We enjoyed learning lots of Christmas songs for our Christmas production and our visit to the church.

November 2018

We celebrated the 50th birthday of John Ray Infants! We learnt all about John Ray and the important work he did. We also compared technology, fashion and toys from the 1960's and the modern day. Our Grandparents also visited us and we played homemade games.

We had a visitor to our classroom! There were lots of clues like a footprint with big claws, some straw, a brick and some sticks. We investigated and inferred that it was the Big Bad Wolf from the story of The Three Little Pigs!

We learnt the story and used masks to act it out. We wrote speech bubbles explaining what the characters from the story said and even used question marks.

October 2018

We had a great No Pens Day in hedgehogs class! We painted colourful owls, went on a scavenger hunt and collected natural objects in as many colours as we could find.

September 2018

We have had lots of fun weaving wreaths out of pieces of willow. It was a bit tricky but we helped each other to make them.

Welcome to your new Class!

We look forward to showing you all of our fabulous work this year.

We have been settling in to our new class and have already been working hard.

P.E. is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays so please make sure you have your kit in school and have earrings removed.

Our topic for this half term is 'Colour'.
