Kestrels

Hello from Kestrels Class!

The children have come back after Christmas with a fantastic attitude to their learning and have really been getting stuck in to their work!  Our topic this term is the polar regions and it is safe to say, judging by the amount of soft toy penguins I have in class, that the children are really enjoying it!

They have been great at remembering key facts about the Arctic and Antarctica as well as famous explorers like Ernest Shackleton and Robert Scott.

In Maths we started learning about sharing and grouping. The children grasped this concept really quickly and soon started using the mathematical term of division to talk about their activity.

Here you can see Isla and George starting out with multilink to show how we can share amounts.

I've been really pleased with how hard the Kestrels are working.

Well done Kestrels!
